Hi, I’m Jessie Thomas. I’ve had the privilege of working as a hotshot and smokejumper in Region 1 for several years, and today, I’m a nutritionist in Missoula. The fire community has always been close to my heart, and I’ve witnessed firsthand the toll that preventable illnesses—like suicide—can take on our brothers and sisters in the field. I’ve had enough, and I’m committed to doing something about it. That’s why I’m offering this free resource for all those in the fire community.

I’m hosting a free, 2-hour webinar on “Nutritional Considerations for Mental Health in Wildland Firefighter Communities”, where we’ll discuss how nutrition can help improve mental health outcomes. There are no hidden agendas here—I’m not selling anything. I’m just in the unique position of having extensive experience in fire service combined with a nutritionist’s perspective, and I want to share that with you.
